A world leading gallery of international modern and contemporary art, the Tate Modern museum is undergoing a major extension of its Thames Bankside location. The unique design will house performance art spaces in the massive underground chambers of a former power station. The 11-storey structure will include new galleries and exhibition spaces throughout the building. This newly designed system will allow Tate Modern to access, monitor and utilize current and future technologies, enhancing the gallery experience and allowing greater accessibility to exhibition archives.
