ExxonMobil’s state-of-the-art corporate campus included multiple low-rise office buildings, a training center, a laboratory, conference centers and employee amenities, including a child care and a wellness center. The campus accommodates 10,000 employees and consolidated several offices from Houston, Fairfax and Akron into one location.
Shen Milsom & Wilke provided design recommendations for sound isolation, room acoustics and building system noise as well as vibration control for various buildings throughout the campus.
Employees moved into their office in phases as the buildings were constructed. The campus features multiple sustainable features: office buildings harvest daylight and minimize water usage; 80 percent of the water used is non-potable; and 80 percent of the campus holds vegetation or lakes.
