Jared has not only worked in technical theater his whole life, but also in the commercial architectural lighting and controls industry for the last 10 years. He brings a wealth of experience in everything from how educational theater is taught and how theaters are used in reality, to the design and implementation of large-scale lighting and power control systems. Jared has worked on every size of venue from the elementary school stage to 75,000 seat stadiums and arenas. He has an intimate knowledge of all types of rigging systems, whether they are deadhung, motorized, counterweight, broadcast, theatrical, scoreboard, and everything in between. His specialties also include emergency egress pathway lighting, and emergency power control systems in a large variety of venues.

As a consultant and designer, Jared brings his knowledge of installation practices, system inspections, end-user modifications, and typical use cases into the room with his clients. Understanding the intent of how a space is to be used informs the design process and assists the client in understanding how and where their budget is being used. Jared’s history of working in spaces ranging from brand new to 100+ years old has taught him the differences between good and bad design, and what will and will not be used in a theatrical space.
