Shen Milsom & Wilke provided acoustical consulting expertise for the new mixed-use building at 33 N Street NE in Washington, D.C., now known as The Belgard. The facility encompasses approximately 346 apartment units with ground-level retail space in the growing Northern Massachusetts (NOMA) area of D.C.
Our acousticians worked to ensure that the acoustic environment for the facility is appropriate and properly isolated from adjacent spaces. They also reviewed and mitigated potential sources of mechanical vibration and noise, and paid special attention to the isolation between units for privacy and sound isolation from the adjacent building.
