SM&W Contribution
Shen Milsom & Wilke provided audiovisual and information technology design services for the new FUJIFILM House of Photography. Set out to be a premiere shopping and cultural destination, the facility is located in the heart of Covent Garden, London. Spread across three floors, the 700 SM House of Photography showcases all that FUJIFILMhas to offer, from picture taking to picture making. The immersive photography facility includes a GFX specialist area, gallery and exhibition space, instant photography playground and Wonder Photo Shop to get creative with photo printing. Hired by Landmark Building and Property Services, SM&W provided audiovisual and information technology design services on the project.
The photography hub required a high-end fit out to match the iconic location with massive curb appeal. The goal for our design services was to deliver an immersive sound system covering the expanse of each floor and information technology infrastructure design services. Aesthetic was key for our AV team, as we designed 8 individual, yet integrable, zones of audio along with a robust wireless microphone solution that blanketed all floors. The overall quality of audio output was also paramount to the project, which SM&W ensured through a sound system made up of QSC loudspeakers, subs and head end to deliver the brief set by FUJIFILM and a Shure QLXD wireless microphone system. Our information technology team delivered the structured cabling solution supporting the LAN, EPOC, CCTV, Wi-Fi and Video Displays through the House of Photography.
