In addition to renovating existing buildings, General Electric’s expansion of their training center campus included a new gatehouse, an addition to the education building, a new bridge, a new residence building and a new dining facility.
The education center expansion provided a student center, breakout rooms, case method classrooms, learning studios, group study rooms, a classroom pit, tiered classrooms, an auditorium, telepresence rooms and meeting rooms. The completed building was awarded a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
The renovated residence building included meeting rooms, a dining area, a fitness center and guestrooms, while the new residence building added a telepresence room and two classrooms.
