SM&W Contribution
Shen Milsom & Wilke (SM&W) provided acoustics and audiovisual design services for the Sheraton Metechi Palace 5-Star Hotel in Tbilisi, Georgia. The project consisted of four large ballrooms, 150+ guest suites, a spa, and meeting and conference facilities.
A particular challenge of this project was the significant atrium at the heart of the hotel entrance, which spanned all 8 floors and consisted of a glass ceiling. The acoustic team that SM&W deployed on this project delivered from concept to testing and commissioning. During testing and commissioning, SM&W spent 14 days onsite across 3 visits to ensure that the spaces were in accordance with our design guidelines. During the audiovisual commissioning, SM&W spent nearly 3 weeks across 3 separate visits to ensure that the systems were working properly and were ready for use.
