Encore Las Vegas sits next to its sister property, Wynn Las Vegas, on the Vegas Strip. The resort boasts more than 2,000 rooms, a conference center, five signature restaurants, retail outlets, bars, lounges and a spa. Steve Wynn emphasized his approach to music in the facility: it would create excitement, welcome relaxation and define the various specialty spaces throughout the building.
Shen Milsom & Wilke designed a high-performance background music system for the entire complex, distributing loudspeakers in zones to provide intelligibility and adequate coverage. The volume can be controlled from a central location or locally in the restaurants, bars, retail spaces and pool areas. We also designed digital signage and community antenna television systems that are used for events, wayfinding and menus.
The reconfigurable conference center hosts meetings, conferences, special ceremonies, exhibitions and shows. Each room in the conference center uses an electronic scheduling system with individual displays. The ballroom can be separated into nine rooms and three hallway spaces, each with standalone capabilities. When these spaces are combined, the ballroom provides full audiovisual support of large events using in-house or portable staging. A dedicated and zoned ceiling speaker system provides fill sound for these events and supports voice amplification for smaller, daily operations.
